Timothy T Schultz, D.O.
136 West Cota; Suite D
Santa Barbara, CA 93101
Biography
Dr Tim Schultz has been practicing Neuro-musculoskeletal Medicine in Santa Barbara since 1998. He began his clinical practice in both Santa Monica and Sierra Madre in 1991 while he was assistant professor of Family Medicine in the department of Osteopathic Principals and Practice in Pomona, CA. (1991-1994.)
His undergraduate background was in Fine Arts at the University of Oregon where he completed a 5 year B.F.A program with an emphasis in printmaking. While at the U of O he studied Art History, Literature, Yoga, Dance and worked on campus as a printmaking lab assistant, garden co-ordinator for the campus co-op, forest service assistant in the office of budget and finance, and media printer in the office of alumni affairs. Between school years he worked in multiple restaurants as a grill chef, chef's assistant and finally as a sous chef. Thinking he would become a writer or artist, medicine became an option that was presented itself as: "if you can't beat them, join them" option.

His interest in medicine came from a cardiologist father, a radiologist brother, and a sister in the field of movement psychology. In assisting the family care for his mother who had metastatic cancer and died in 1982, the focus his studies changed to the field of 'pre-med' where he learned that Osteopathic Physicians were a separate but equal field of medicine whose philosophy was most closely aligned with his own worldview. A philosophy that allowed both "joining and beating." He applied only to Osteopathic programs and attended the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific from 1985-1990. There he completed an under-graduate teaching fellowship in the department of Osteopathic Principals and Practices prior to graduation.

His teachers include: Viola Frymann, D.O., F.A.A.O., Herb Miller, D.O., F.A.A.O., Robert Fulford, D.O., Jim Jealous, D.O., and Lori Dick, D.O.
He has table trained with Biobasics pediatrics courses, Expanding the Osteopathic Concept with Dr. Frymann, and with Herb Miller, D.O. and taught curricula with Dr. Frymann and The Cranial Academy.
